My two gray tree frogs are wild, caught in Granbury, Texas. I believe that they are both female, but I would like to get it confirmed. Frogs are difficlt to sex because their exterior genitals are the same no matter gender (I think everyone knows that just explaining my problem) I first sexed my frogs and decided they were female. They do not croak, only peep when disturbed by their cagemate, they had ravenous hungers at time, and speckles on the under of the throat were not prominant. I am now second guessing about the gender of my two frogs (Leapy and Lovey are their names) Is their any way that I can make a good judgment? If i cant decide I might just go to the vet becuase Lovey the frog seems to have injured her leg. Thank you fellow froggers!
P.S. (For some odd reason, I cannot upload photos. Sorry for the inconvienience! If you have any way to fix the issue, let me know. I can give you more info on my uploading problem.)

The best way is to wait and see if they do actually croak multiple times and more than a single peep.
The photo uploader is broken and the best way is to use a hosting service like flickr.
Thank you. lovey is the only one I have heard peep, Leapy has only peeped once. When lovey peeps it is usually just one or two peeps. If she is continually perterbed she will peep every second or so. I have hear gray tree frog calls both online and in the wild, and their croak seems to be much faster than what lovey does. I would see if I could get her to peep and get it on video but her leg is injured as you know, so I don't want to hurt it anymore. Usually, when Leapy hops ontop of her is the only time she peeps. Would this suggest she thinks a male is trying to fertilize her and that is why she is perterbed? Thank you, elly!

It's hard to say, all frogs give a distress chirp if someone hops on them and they don't want it. Aside from waiting to hear calling, you might look at the inner side of the frog's thumb to see if they have a nuptial pad. It's probably extremely hard to see on a gray tree frog because of the size and coloring though.
I already tried looking for the nuptil pad, and I could not see muchI have not heard either of them croak or puff up their chins. I caught a boy frog once that I did not keep (I wish I did now so I could try breeding) But the boy frog would croak if you hold him by the legs, the way I've heard to properly hold a wild tree frog. I did the same with Leapy and Lovey and neither made a single peep.

My White's pads should be easier to see and they're definitely boys but I can't see them well. I think they only get dark when the frogs are ready to mate.
I can use the link fine. Your frogs are cute!
Thank you! I was actually able to see the bottom of Leapy's foot and it was pretty much completely flat. I'm pretty sure the same is for Lovey, judgin by how similar the two frogs are.
Your little frog in the profile picture is a cutie himself!
