Megophrys Nasuta Call

Lately my Malaysian Leaf Frog has been calling quite a bit, and I was finally able to record it. This clip is like 20 seconds long, and there's 3 croaks in it. This was taken a room away. I didn't want to scare him. It's so loud. The best way to describe it is like a smoke detector beeping when the battery is dying. It feels right in your ear.

I've been thinking about it a lot lately, actually.

My frog has been so active lately. Maybe it's breeding season. He's calling so much, and the other night, he was climbing all over the plants and trying to climb out, and he would go to the corner to stare at me while I type. Then he would climb all over again, and after a couple minutes, come and stare at me. He's never done that before.
