Thanks I think we will....She absolutely loves frogs and toads which my wife doesn't mind them which was quite a surprise.....It is a wild caught frog that my parents caught to show her today, after seeing it there wasn't anyway she was going to let it go. So i did some research on them and laws here in Michigan and found this site thankfully and not much as far as regulations on keeping them. I did find that they are plentiful in my area.
My parents find 6-7 frogs a week around the pool or in the skimmer which isn't an always good out come. Now they have a flat floating thing in the skimmer so they have a place to climb on. Since they did that they haven't found a dead one since. 4 days ago they found 6 leopard frogs in the skimmer all fighting for space on the floaty....Crazy animals.
I listened to a recording of the call of the Grey Tree Frog and couldn't believe that the sound is exactly what we hear in the evening from the woods and pond area I would like to get another one or 2 for it hopefully they don't keep the wife up at night other wise it could be a short situation...LOL...I mean at night it is really load and from what it sounds like there are a lot of these frogs out there....Kinda nice having a natural water/wetland so close to show her animals and wildlife...She even loves to go catch snakes....
