    Default RETF Paludarium

So currently I have a 12x12x18 exo terra terrarium but later on this week I am ordering a 24x18x36 exo terra terrarium and I want to turn it into a paludarium. I want the whole bottom of the tank to be water however I know that RETFs aren't the best swimmers and I am worried when it comes to feeding. I will have a mushroom ledge, some driftwood and a vine to assist my frogs but I am nervous that the crickets will drown before my red eyes can eat them!!! Am I overthinking this or should I be concerned?

Hi there, you definitely have a legitimate concern. Those crickets will definitely drown in an all water bottom. I'd recommend either feeding with tongs or removing the frogs for every feeding in this case.

in terms of the frogs drowning, they probably won't. My best advice to address this concern is
    - make the water very shallow
    - make sure there isn't an exceptionally strong current
    - add rocks, ledges, etc. so the frogs will easily be able to climb out of the water
