Okay, so after browsing around a bit....

My frog came to me 2 months ago. I got him from kijiji. He is living in a moss type substance. I'm reading here that that could be very dangerous for him!!! I wasn't aware. I do have a new block of plantation soil here.... Is that what he should be using? And how do I get the moss off him? Can I rinse him under the tap?

Also, he hides under the moss. Will he need a hide now and plants? And if so, what should I buy? Thanks!

Oh... He came to me with this tank and moss, I assumed that because the old owner had him for 4 years that she had the right set up for him.

yes, you are right. You need to get rid of that moss, get plantation soil or exo earth that you will be changing monthly, get water conditioner that you are going to use for your tap water and some plant of sorts he can hide under, shallow water dish.
You need to make a bath for him in any plastic container, water level no higher then a chin, warm, 80-82f. While he is taking a bath, you can cange his home for appopriate one

Thanks!!! Yes, I changed him onto the plantation soil. He has a big water dish in there. I still need to buy him some plants though. Should I have a background cling or something on the back of his tank to help him feel safer?

Yes a background will help him feel safer, its actually good to cover the back and 2 sides. And you can even just use a dark colour of construction paper, doesn't have to be anything fancy.
