It is really hard to say without seeing, he might have had minor injuries ( if any) that will heal in their own. As I said the best and the safest would be to take him to a vet to be checked out. Alternatively, you can make him comfortable and as stress free as possible, don't pick him up too, don't be too in his face with food if he is not interested and hope for the best.
