So my Albino Pac that I have had since May I am quite concerned about. My Fiancé went to go feed him tonight and apparently he bit the fiancé. So out of as he calls "a natural reaction" he pulled his hand back, and Cass, my pac was still attached to his thumb. In this instance, he manages to fall to the ground from about 6ft. I am quite sad...My fiancé keeps apologizing which is driving me insane because all I am worried about is whether or not Cass is okay, and apologizing is not going to tell me that. He is breathing super heavy and now he does not want to eat. He also "relieved" himself instantly after all of this happened. So now, he didn't get dinner, he is breathing like crazy, and he seems to be "babying" his left front leg. I am in tears guys. I know it was not on purpose but it still hurts, I just want him to be okay. Should I be concerned there could be some horrible outcome from this, or is it possible he is just spooked?
I just don't want him to die, I know that is a bit of a stretch but he seems to fragile and it was a hard fall, hard enough I heard the "SMACK" from the living room (next room over).....
Hi. So sorry about all that. After fall like that anything could have happened, your best bet would be a vet ( that knows reptiles and frogs) to get him checked out. Hard fall for any animal is similar to that for a human. Not fun, but hey, your fiancée didn't do it on purpose.
the good thing a frog is alive, but he did injured something based on your description.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
So last night after everything he didn't move much, he just stayed in the same place breathing heavy. This morning I woke up and he was partially burrowed and his breathing has calmed down a lot. I picked him up and he seems less stressed out.
Is it possible that was just in shock from everything last night? Because he is acting better today?
It is really hard to say without seeing, he might have had minor injuries ( if any) that will heal in their own. As I said the best and the safest would be to take him to a vet to be checked out. Alternatively, you can make him comfortable and as stress free as possible, don't pick him up too, don't be too in his face with food if he is not interested and hope for the best.
