My Pacman ingested some bedding and ended up having a fairly large prolapse of his cloaca. He passed the bedding but had over a half an inch of cloaca hanging out of him. I warm bath soaked him three times in sugar water for 20mins each time. It shrunk the prolapse a little bit but not much. I used a lubricated q tip and carefully got it back inside of him. I have never had this happen before. He is now in a quarantine tank on a damp towel and has a water dish. I still see a teeny bit hanging out of his rear... My questions are:
will it it heal on its own?
how does the cloaca stay in place anyhow?
will it reattach itself to the inside of the frog?
do I feed him this week? If not, when?
he has only been on crickets dusted w vitamins and calcium. He is about 3 inches.
