Goofy little things, aren't they? So much fun to watch and feed! They seem to do it most at feeding time. You're right though. They don't really mind doing all sorts of rude things to each other (like sticking their hands in each other's eyes). It's the little blue Australian guys that do it the most. They perch on top of the Indonesians. There's no fussing or fighting about it. If the lower frog wants a bug, he just wipes off his frog hat and goes for it. I should get a picture and post it ...

Have you noticed any other behavioral differences between your Indos and Aussies? I've always been curious about possible differences.

I'm not sure which ones are australian or indonesian, but my two green frogs dont seem to like handling much at all, one will pee on me almost every time if I move him, the other green one is a lot more chill about it, but sometimes gets grumpy and pee's on me or runs and hides. I don't try and move them often but sometimes you got to! Anyway, my pretty blue one doesn't care at all, has never pee'd on me while being handled, and doesn't seem to mind hanging out on my shirt, or head.

The blue morphs in the US were all descended from frogs originally brought from Australia before the ban on imports. (At least if there are Indo blues, I don't know about it.) So it's a safe bet your blues are Aussies. From all the anecdotal reports I've heard, Aussies are more chill.

Yep. My Aussies (blues) tend to be smaller and are more laid back where I'm concerned. They never move out of the way if I'm performing maintenance in their paludarium. Even water changes. However, although smaller, they seem to dominate the green Indonesians. I've never seen the larger Indos trying to sit on top of the Aussies. Maybe sitting on top of the green Indos is a dominance gesture. ??? The Aussies also will get a bit peeved if one of the Indos takes a cricket that they had an eye on, and will occasionally bite their leg for beating them to the punch!

Lol the whites are so much fun! I have one that if he misses his cricket, he will turn around run away and just give up on it for a few minutes it's freaking hilarious, even if it walks right in front of him right after the miss he will snub it!
