Thanks everyone! And Ebony, I don't quite have a zoo yet, but I do have three animals that currently reside at my local zoo, so I'm working my way there.

Wow! That's one of the most varied collection of critters I've heard of, but I bet it keeps things fun. Welcome. We have a reef tank, a bunch of dart frogs, some venus flytraps, local treefrogs (females only), a snapping turtle, seven chickens, a pair of parakeets (the female laid her (and our) first egg yesterday - very exciting), and Max - our Boston Terrier. I only wish pear trees grew down here.![]()

Jim: Thanks, and it most certainly DOES keep things interesting! Almost never a dull moment around here!I completely forgot that I also had a pair of parakeets, and I will be taking my friend's lovebird and cockatiel soon.
I love birds. I think once I graduate I'll get an African Grey Parrot.
I love Boston Terriers. I have two Golden Retrievers named Sophie and Newt, which has made quite the splash on the caudate website.
Kurt: Thanks to you, as well. As for the pear tree, the song can easily be manipulated so that you don't even need a partridge. Observe:
"And an Axolotl in a pear tree!"
Except, I have two Axolotls, and I wouldn't want to cause a fight over who gets to be in the pear tree.
Welcome to the Forum. Always great to have another member with such a diverse household!![]()
True, but being a lover of puns and really bad jokes, it would just give me great satisfaction to have the pear tree. I mostly amuse myself. My co-workers have learned that if they don't at least acknowledge my bad jokes/puns with a groan, I keep repeating it until someone smacks me upside the head.
What do you call a pig with no legs?
A ground hog.

Hehehehe. I love puns.
What do you call a cross between a rhino and an elephant?

I'll have to remember those-my daughter will get a kick out of them!
Hannah, I have the following: 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 Leopard Geckos, 9 Fire Belly toads, 15 Madagascar Hissing Roaches (and counting-several of my females are expecting!), 1 American Bullfrog froglet and 2 American Bullfrog tadpoles, 1 A. avicularia (Pinktoe Tarantula), 1 Pacific Chorus Frog, 3 African Giant Bullfrogs and 3 male Bettas. Did I get everything? I think so. I don't count dust bunnies, but I have a few of those too that are big enough to name!! Lol.
I love Leopard Geckos. I had one when I was in Kindergarten. His name was Sprinkles. I'm thinking about getting another one my senior year because I miss having lizards.
The roaches and tarantula sound cool! I personally love bugs, although I don't like little ones. The larger they are, the less gross they are. I go back and forth on whether I want a tarantula or not. I know I can't have one now, because my mom has placed a ban on anything with less than two legs or more than four.![]()
I remember having tadpoles; how exciting! I just called my pet guy, and it looks like we will be getting another White's Tree Frog tomorrow!![]()
