I live in northeast Indiana and my daughter found a small toad (about the size of a penny) yesterday. I am feeding it pinhead crickets and was wondering how many and how often I should feed it.
Every 2 or 3 days will be fine. The crickets should be dusted with calcium/vitamin supplements, as they are not completely nutritional.
Thanks Kurt, I dusted the crickets I fed the toad yesterday. I have a 5 gal tank with store bought moss that I soaked, leaves, a piece of bark and water resavoir in the tank. The pinheads are hidden pretty well in there. How many should I put in at a time?
With all those hiding places, maybe a dozen or so. You will have to feel it out and see what works best.
I would suggest feeding it every day if it will take the food - at that size they will grow fast if fed regularly.

Today I have also found a penny sized toad but not completely sure of what to feed it. Do you know what I should feed it?
