Not convinced on a male, it does look like one though, but it's also possible it looks like that because of the pictures. Would you please post more, clear pics of a frog from the top, as well tell us what size is it.

Males have wide massive heads in comparison to the body, grow bigger then females and of course if you hear them call that's most definately a male.

I'll get more pics as soon as possible. The frog is a little larger than four inches. How often would calling occur, and for how long. She has heard the frog be vocal a couple of times but very rarely, and when it happens it is just one or two short croaks and then stops.

The call is pretty low and not that loud. Sounds like cow if you hear that there is no doubt who you have!
how old is he/she and what size did you get it at? Interested in growth rate and what are you feeding as well as if you use any supplements?

Purchased late February of this year and was freshly out of water. Frog is fed a variety of crickets, superworms, night crawlers, and the occasional pinky mouse. Calcium with d3 is used once weekly.
