I'm experiencing a new problem with my frogs and im not sure what to do exactly. The problem is that i have a three year old albino male and a 2 year old female. The male keeps attaching to her and at this point has been attached to her for at least 5 hours as of this post. I'm probably going to separate them for now and see if a warmer temp helps later, as it is cold in my room due to me leaving my air conditioner on. Any ideas are welcome because i recently lost an old female and would rather not have to get rid of the male.
It is common for a male to hang on for long periods of time. He won't hurt the female.
Clawed frogs require cooler waters. If you raise the temps, you will probably end up with eggs.
I think frog sex is harder on us. I have dwarf frogs and he holds onto her for hours and hours. I looked it up and it doesn't hurt the female. It looks annoying as hell. Mine are so small I can't pry his little arms open to separate them. At least my guy sings to her first.

Thank you for responding and i would just like to clarify that i did understand that frog mating takes a while but i have only ever seen it in burst of two to three hours and the female was equal in the process. The difference this time being that she just sat there as he did his thing. Also what i ment when i said raise the temp was from 63 to 72. I apologize for not being clear. In the end though i just put them in a seperate container in case of eggs and they did in deed lay eggs after about 12 hours of loud croaking.![]()
Are you going to raise the tads?
No I decided against it. Mainly because I'm already breeding some other things.
