Pyxie questions!

also, i have just one more question, is it possible to keep a male and a female pyxie together in the same tank. I have this big 40 gal. and i kinda feel like like its too big for a female, and it would still be pretty roomy for one male...

Regarding the photo, she looks like she's either shedding or she was about to aestivate (they get that pale sheen) - how's the humidity in her tank?

Regarding keeping them together, I keep my two females together without problems but I've never tried to keep a male and a female together for long. I've heard of people doing it but I'm a little wary.

yeah, shes shedding, and the humidity is around 70, give or take. i dont think shes aestivating considering shes still eating very well...

i wanna try it and at the same time i dont... maybe i'll get another female then since you say it works out ok.

Good looking frog, Bruce. I would have to agree and say you have a female. You can expect her to grow about another inch. As for the age, I'm thinking she is under a year. Although females tend to retain some of the color of their dorsal stripe, their lateral stripes tend to fade faster. Keep up the good work!
