I would forgo the vet visit unless he or she appears ill. Most ppl keeping Americans recommend room temps for their toads; however, I'd like to suggest a warm spot from an overhead heat source. Misting the tank once or twice a day (at most) should take care of all humidity issues and a deep enough substrate that he or she can burrow into should be available.
