We just acquired a new American toad from the wild. He or she seems quite young. We set up a habitat and he has happily been eating crickets and enjoying his water dish. I have 2 questions. What is the optimal temperature/humidity I should aim for inside his tank? And should I bring him in to the vet to make sure he is healthy or is that not necessary? I want him to be healthy and survive, as we are already attached to him. Thank you!
