    If you're willing to move from amphibians, many micro geckos (e.g. Sphaerodactylus) do well in a setup that size.

    Yes, I'm willing to go with pretty much anything. I don't want any inverts, but I'm open to plants, amphibians, or other reptiles 😊

    I thought perhaps a young crested gecko would do okay in the 12" cube.

    A young crestie will be OK in a cube for about 6 months. If you're interested in micro geckos, check out dwarfgeckos.com.
