Nano Terrariums?

A baby pacman could be kept in the 12inch cube, but I believe most people keep them in 10 gallon tanks as adults. Overall, both those tanks are too small to support an animal unless you're looking at invertebrates. It would also make a pretty planted terrarium or be a good quarantine/hospital tank if need be.

If you're willing to move from amphibians, many micro geckos (e.g. Sphaerodactylus) do well in a setup that size.

Yes, I'm willing to go with pretty much anything. I don't want any inverts, but I'm open to plants, amphibians, or other reptiles 😊

I thought perhaps a young crested gecko would do okay in the 12" cube.

A young crestie will be OK in a cube for about 6 months. If you're interested in micro geckos, check out dwarfgeckos.com.
