his pouch is black and he hasn't eaten in a week. help, please!
A black vocal sack is perfectly normal for a male gray tree frog. Are those the only symptoms? If he's otherwise healthy and active, not eating for a week is probably nothing to worry about. My male once stopped eating for 2 weeks and it freaked me out but he was fine.

I agree with Dace, if he's healthy and active, I wouldn't worry. I know that some males get a little distracted at this time of year looking for some ladies and do not focus on much else. That would explain the dark colored vocal sac also.![]()
