Question on phyllomedusa molt/pale spot?

Wanted to know if anyone knows how they molt and how to tell-they must do it, as they have grown a lot. But unlike WTF that I have kept before, where you can see skin visibly sloughing and peeling off, I never see anything with the monkeys except perfectly smooth and waxy skin.

The reason for my question is that one of my guys has a small area of strange coloration; I noticed it last night when he went dark, a small patch (size of two pencil eraser tips) stayed light green. Today when he is green again, I can barely see this area as slightly lighter lime green.

Of course this causes panic of fungal, bacterial and other doomsday scenarios. I will check him up close later when I take out to weigh and then will soak in diluted pedialyte, any other suggestions appreciated.

PS they are in a total screen cage with PowerSun bulb and other lights, 95 degrees for basking down to 78 in other areas. Normally the house is around 38% humidity but this week it went up to 42 a couple of days. The (treated) water is kept pristine.

HI, unlike reptiles frogs dont shed their skin to grow. They shed and eat their skin to gain nutrition or maybe even for a small meal if foods not around. Shedding skin for a waxy would cause them to lose water and their waxy coat. I dont know if ive ever seen mine shed i wanna say i have cause i have the picture in my head but im not sure if im imagening it lol
