As I still don't have gravel down in my FBT tank, every day I use a turkey baster and suck up poop and skin sheddings just to keep the bottom of the tank looking half way decent. I noticed, attached to the silk plant, rock and even the "No Ribbit" figurine, a jelly like mass with tiny black dots all through it. I am assuming these might be eggs, however I have not prepped my toads to be doing this. Do the females release eggs and I just never noticed? I do not want a bunch of tadpoles, cute as they may be! Please tell me they aren't fertilized!!
Photographs. They usually lay their eggs individually/scattered, so I doubt they are eggs.

I will try on the picture. My camera can't seem to focus on it all that well. None of the frogs are sick and I'm not worried about it-I just don't want tadpoles. However, if they are not eggs, then I will just keep sucking it up with the turkey baster...handy little tool to have around!!![]()
Finally got a decent shot-after I put it into a separate bowl. Being able to look at it up close and without floaties in the water, it looks like part of the skin shedding and not how I would expect eggs to look. I never really looked at their moltings before, but that is my guess.
Not eggs Jo.
Whew-what a relief!!![]()
