Hello, I have been keeping a female Pyxicephalus adspersus for about a year now. I am not much of an amphibian keeper but really enjoy keeping this species, I have started but not cycled a 30% land 70% water 20 gallon aquarium. I have read up a fair bit on water quality and maintaining such and read that it is advised not to use well water. Being curious I tested my local well water and the parameters seem quite in check for this species, to my surprise.

They are as follows:

PH- high 7's to low 8's.

Ammonia- 0 ppm.

Nitrite- 0 ppm.

Nitrate- 0 ppm.

Now I am sure the ammonia etc. aren't exactly 0 ppm but they are definitely exceedingly low, now I ask if I cycle the aquarium with this water would it be suitable to keep this species in?
