My few month old Ornate is a loud bather himself, and in the morning there is usually no water left in the dish. He literally cannonballs into his water dish were as big girl is so gracefull getting into hers, almost never spills a drop. And by the sounds of things I imagine he is fine and he is just full or isn't still 100% sure about his surroundings. I think he will be fine. im editing because I seen Jason posted before me, I would have to agree that feeding at night is more natural for them. And when you look in my tanks any time of the day before lights go out they just look empty tanks housing a couple fake plants. L.O.L
