Hi guys! It's been a while since I've posted on the forum, but I need your help. My one toad, Lola, which I'm sure a lot of you know has been acting strange for the past day. She has been staying in her hide, and uses her head to butt my fingers when I try to touch her. She refused food yesterday, she was even scared of it, so I let her be. Today, I put a worm in front of her, she was interested, bit at it and missed, and then retreated back into her hide. 15 minutes later I gently moved her into the middle of the tank, and tried to feed her a calcium dusted worm, but once again and refused and retreated to her hide. I'm not sure what to do, and I've had her for about four years.

"Look on the wall behind you. Look at that little girl's face. I know you've seen it. But you know what she's never going to be able to see? She's never going to be able to see the simple wonder of a leaf in her hand. Because there's not going to be any trees. Now you think about that."

It is possible your frog maybe preparing for winter. If it looks healthy and shows no signs of illness or injury, then let it be. Continue to offer food, you may want to cool down the temperature a little.

“If we can discover the meaning in the trilling of a frog, perhaps we may understand why it is for us not merely noise but a song of poetry and emotion.”
--- Adrian Forsyth
That's what I thought, but she is very aggressive towards being touched, and will use her head to ram my fingers. Also, she sits with hey head down, and whenever I walk past her tank, it looks as if she's dead. But, maybe you're right. Her eyes aren't cloudy, and I checked for red leg.
