Thread: Green Tree Frog - Odd behaviour?

Default Green Tree Frog - Odd behaviour?

Only had her for a couple weeks, at night she normally likes to hang out on a vine or on top of one of the plants. The last few days though she spends most of the night in a burrow hole she dug into the substrate. At night it's about 70 degrees and 75 % humidity. I have a black light CFL and a red LED on at night. Anything weird here?

Burying down into the substrate is usually a sign of low humidity. Mist more and see what happens. Also make sure your hygrometer is giving you an accuarate reading.

Just a follow up to what Kurt said - when we first set up our WTF tank, we had one of the circular hygrometer gauges and it kept giving us bizarre readings. We switched to one of the digital monitors (like 25.00 dollars at the pet store), and it's been much more accurate. I highly recommend it!
