The names are confusing because there is Soft Maple and Hard Maple, but both are hardwood... Apparently, Hard Maple specifically refers to sugar maple, which is what I think I have.
If it turns out that its bad wood for her, do you know if it would be obvious that something is wrong before it gets too problematic?
It might be hard to tell if I put them in now because I don't think she ever moves from the spot (at the bottom of the terrarium) where she settled a couple of minutes after I put her in....but then again, that might be because there are no branches in there yet.
Edit: I'm wondering if, by wet setting, the Caudata article means a setting in which the wood is submerged or partially submerged in water.
