Hi Long time no post....
So over the summer my baby Azureus got big. They should be just about big enough to move in with Mila. The bigger viv has grown in and though some plants refuse to live others thrive.
My husband and I have bet that will only be answered by time. See I think that among the babies we have 1 Female and 3 male and he thinks it's on male and 3 females. Morgan, the largest, has pretty big toe pads. But if you look really close the others have a heart shape toe pads and female frogs are usually bigger. Only way we will be sure though is when we see who lays eggs and who sings. With any luck some time next year we will have a a few tadpoles. I plan to keep the fairy garden as a grow out enclosure and we are going to order the breeding supplies from Josh's frogs so they are on hand.
Our fruit fly cultures were less successful for a while but we found that it was just a matter of me guessing the water being right where as when I measured the water it ended up too thin. Now they are booming again and booming strong. The way I do the rolled oats and fruit seems to work better than any commercial stuff in the rescue cultures we grab from the pet store ever does.
Any advice on how to go about moving 4 adolescent frogs in with an adult that has lived alone for a year. We figure to do it about the end of the month. But should we do it one at a time and give it a day between or just all at once? Which would be less stressful?
