I'd go with a medium/large rat for a full grown stud male. Mice are to small for a big male. I feed my female a mouse a month and my male a medium rat a month. Don't want to over feed them as it will kill themselves. Also, if your feeding live, after they bite the rat/mouse reach in and break there back to make sure the nasty rodent doesn't chew his way out!
