    Default Very thin Milk Frog

    All,

I'm currently the owner of two Milk Frogs called Indie and Little Fella. Sadly, in the last few days Indie has become incredibly thin. I don't know why he's gone like this as nothing has changed in their tank. The only thing I can think of is that a few days ago he ate a small spider I found as a change from the usual crickets. I'm considering moving Indie in to his own tank but am concerned that the change might upset him further. Last night I saw him moving actively around the tank. Even though I've put plenty of crickets in the tank for him to eat the fact he's so skinny suggests he isn't catching any.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

How long have you had them and how do you keep them? Are they the same size (apart from the recent loss of weight)?

Maybe one is preventing the other from eating. You might want to separate them and put the thin one in a spare tank for observation.

I've had the frogs for about four years. Until recently both had been eating well and seemed healthy. Indie is actually the more active hunter of the two whereas Little Fella just seems to wait until a cricket comes near him. They're in a tank that's roughly 2ft x 1ft x 3ft so there's plenty of room for them both. Since yesterday Indie hasn't seemed so skinny so hopefully he's on the mend. Fingers crossed.
