Hello,
one french pet store has 25 Anaxyrus quercicus for sale. Only males.
I got 3 of them in an 12"x12"x12" Exo Terra.
I was wondering if it is better to keep only one toad alone ?
A group of males is ok ?
Is there any territoriality or dominance behaviours which can create some problems with a group of males in captivity ?
Thank you for help and advise.
I personally am okay with keeping one alone, but at the same time, my Anaxyrus fowleri toadlets are together, and show no signs of aggression when I watch them![]()
Again, my Anaxyrus fowleri toadlets stay near each other, either underneath the same log, or next to each other when burrowed. This may not apply to Anaxyrus quercicus though...
Also, you're really lucky, these guys have a beautiful call, if you can find females, try breeding them
