It seems we are seeing more and more disasters such as this and it is heartbreaking to know so many are directly and indirectly effected. My prayers and thoughts are with them all.

After serving in Japan for three years, living on the coast, I could not imagine the amount of effort it would have taken to displace all those people in time. So Sad.

Ebony, hope all is well with you, family and neighbors as you try to piece back your homes and lives too.

I hope all of them are ok too. The death toll has gone up a lot in the past few hours as far as I know. I feel terrible, it just isn't usual such an advanced country like Japan has a disaster happen to them. It is usually 2nd or 3rd world countries. It is even worse considering how dense Japan is, my wishes go out to them as well.

I live in Santa Cruz, CA. We are continuing to have swells and surges coming in since this morning. Damage at the harbors with boats ect....some flooding in areas, and northern CA damage to some homes.

BUT this doesn't compare to the horrific devastation that has occured in Japan. I can't imagine an earthquake as large as 8.9! Unbelieveable!

Sending prayers out to all in Japan and New Zealand that are dealing with the aftermath and continued aftershocks from these Devastating earthquakes!

My heart also goes out to all those suffering in Japan and anyone affected by these terrible quakes...our world just seems to be falling a part right now.

Watching the news and seeing the devastation that has come about because of these natural disasters...It's really upsetting to see. You are all in my thoughts...<3
