My albino ACF has been acting oddly lately. As of today he's been swimming laps, diving in and out of water and when I went to hold him he was not resistant what so ever, which worries me.
He is in a 20 long with one tank mate who is doing fine. Temps are at 70 and I just recently did a water change.
I'm very worried any advice would do.

If you have a test kit, check for ammonia and nitrites. Sometimes the source water will have some ammonia or nitrites.
What substrate do you use?
I thought that and tested with the liquid kit. They both turned out normal. I use caribsea sunset gold sand and they have a marimo in the tank. Cecil seems to have calmed down. Maybe the water change freaked him out with the temp fluctuations?

Temp fluctuations don't normally cause such issues. pH fluctuations might.

It's possible. Do you frogs have hiding placed in their tank?
What were the actual test results for your water? Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, pH if possible. What test kit do you use?
Just be careful changing the filter - if you don't transfer over all the media you are going to put your tank into a minicycle.
What is their diet like? Any changes in appetite or pooing? Any marks on the skin or abnormal shredding?

No abnormal shedding. I can't remember the exact perimeters. I get the water tested with the liquid kit at my lps. I had a few test strips lying around and that's how I checked the ammonia and nitrates.
I'm feeding my guys large night crawlers. Average poop.
The reason I'm concerned with Cecil is his tankmate is perfectly OK while he was seeming stressed
As for the filter change I'm putting both of them in until the new filter gets the beneficial bacteria

Nothing alarming in your info, any chance you may have just startled him (or your cat did) and he was settling down when you put your hand in?
I'd keep an eye on him and maybe do extra water changes for good measure but if his behavior stopped it was most likely a reaction to stimuli in the environment and no anything physically wrong with him.
It might be a good idea to pick up your own liquid test kit (They last forever!) so that should anything odd happen again you have your testing right there and can see the values. The strips can be quite inaccurate.
