My White's Tree Frogs have only been calling in daytime and are sometimes up and around at midday.
I'm pretty sure they're okay otherwise, but I've heard of this as a bad sign. Is it? They have a light in their tank that's on during the day so they have a regular cycle.
My 3 do this as well. They have since frog puberty i guess you'd call it. Moe, my silver(lucy too i think hes got kinda clear skin) is usually up once an afternoon, yells at everything, then re-positions and hits the snooze button. Larry, our honey bronze, gets up in the afternoon and eats, then snoozes, and shemp the big fatty, wakes up and moves when she notices Moe moved(they snuggle). When they're hungry, theyre all up during the day. When its due to storm Larry and Moe go nuts. Sometimes its just the froggy's pattern.
Others will be able to inform you better on health issues. We've never(thank goodness) had health issues due to out anal retentive care schedules lol. Hope i kinda helped.
My greys will do this also. Some tree frog species just wake a bit easier than others.
2.0.3 Hyla versicolor "Eastern Gray Tree Frogs"
2.2.0 Agalychnis callidryas "Red Eyed Tree Frogs"
0.0.3 Dendrobates auratus "Turquoise and Bronze"
0.0.1 Anaxyrus fowleri "Fowler's Toad"
Do you have a pic I can see of your frog with the clear skin? I think one of my frogs has kind of a clear skin too.
As too the being up during the day, I don't know anything about that. One of mine was up today while I was misting the tank but I just got them yesterday so I think he was just curious.
Cute!
Sorry my hands are still vibrating from sanding/routing. Shame pics do no justice to moe. Hes like a light lavender for the picture...
