my frog appears to have tried to sleep while i was away for about a week. when i got back i noticed she was in a pot under the roots of a pothos plant. she looks brown and has a film over one eye which prevents it from opening. its been like that for 2 days.
how can i get it off and is my frog likely to die?
Your frog needs a vet more likely it sounds like a bad bacterial infection to me. And I would get one asap because if the infection gets into the blood stream then you will have serious problems. I don't know how to get it off and im not sure you want to go playing with his eye. I would really consider a vet trip.
Warm bath and see how it'll go. Most likely she was trying to sleep, that film is likely an old skin. Pic would be helpful though.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
Sorry I just reread your post it and at first I thought you meant there was film over his eye meaning his eye ball, just noticed it said its stuck shut. Sorry if I freaked you out, its been a long day.
well it looks like she shed it off. i was hoping that would happen. it was stuck shut an first but after i read corys post i was worried because it was still on but she could then open her eye so it looked like you said.
