    Default Thinking

I don't have a pa man frog yet but I am researching where to get him/her and the items in and on the terrarium. That and I'm looking at terrariums. I'm just looking for tips and recommendations. I know coir substrate. I'm leaning towards exoterra or zoo med coconut coir substrate. Also what kind of misting system should I use?

Reptifogger connected to a hygrotherm is a very good setup, but you can simply mist a couple times a day using a spray bottle and be just fine. I would highly recommend a digital humidity gauge over an analog device.

Thanks for answering where did you get your frog or frogs? Please don't say Craigslist, I have heard too many horror stories about getting herps from some postings on there.

I actually did get one off craigslist, but like you said, horror story. I didn't pay for him, I only offered to take him if they couldn't find him a good home. He was very malnourished and has a hooked nose, stunted growth, and a malformed lower jaw because of it, but I love him all the same. As for the healthiest and most reliable source of frogs that I have experience with is LLL Reptile. I've heard both good and bad about breeders, guess you just have to know how well they take care of their frogs. Local and national pet stores have them often, but your selection would be limited and there is always the question of if they know how to care for the frog. Another great source is a reptile show, good selection from lots of vendors, easy to compare and find the little guy that's going to be your friend.

Not sure where you are located, but Katz Frogs in Barnesville, Md has captive bred babies all the time. Reasonable prices especially if you aren't looking for a special morph. Has some really nice looking parents. Check them out online or instagram. (He ships so where I guess doesn't Matter)
Otherwise Pet Co will order them in for you. We did this with my Son's 1st albino as well as the 3rd. and are super happy.
Watch out at petsmart, we lost one from there, our 2nd. And they only have a 14 day guarantee.

Good luck. They are wonderful frogs and we are enjoying them immensely!
