I feed her crickets, you think it was bitten by one? What should I do about it? Will it heal on it's own or do I need to do something about it? I'm worried it will get infected. I'm going to clean her terrarium today, but I hope it's not too late. Thank's for the input and thanks for fixing the picture problem! I really appreciate it.
Edit: I'm looking at a few other posts about sores and I see a lot of people mentioning neosporin. Would that work for a sore like this?
You can use Neosporin WITHOUT PAIN RELIEVER. The generic brand works too, just make sure it doesn't have pain reliever.
That's a pretty large sore and it may be far along in infection, but I'd at least try it. Since the spot is black rather than red, you might want to get a vet involved if possible.
and yeah, it could be a cricket bite.

I really hope this is not life threatening. The picture makes it look a lot worse than it is. It's not deep and at a quick glance it just looks like there is some dirt or something on her. How would you suggest I apply Neosporin? She always freaks out any time I even get close to her. As for a vet, I really don't have the money for that. Would a pet store know what to do?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm just really worried about her.
A pet store most likely wouldn't, at least not a chain pet store.
I'd just take a q-tip or something and dab it quickly, maybe while she's asleep.
It is definitely a sore, not dirt right? I have a frog that has a dark spot which I think is a scar, but it's only a little darker than his skin color and it's certainly not a sore.
I had something similar on one of my white's it healed over but still has a black scar now 2 years later... Never figured out what it was but she is fine
