Hello....this is my first post and as you will be able to tell right away i am new to all this.
So for a quick synopsys...we bouht one of our kids this frog plastic set up and you order the frogs....well i was not going to put the tadpoles in this plastic set up so we got a 20 gal long aquarium...got a small rocks from a river....set up an area for the frogs to climb out of the water put moss on that area and maybe 4 Inches or so of water...and a filter....
Ok so one of the todpoles dropped the tail about 2 days ago and now i see him between the rocks and around the wet areas but not on the top of the moss...
So my question is....i read somewhere that for the first week after they come out of the water do not give them food because they eat their tails?..is this correct?
My biggest question is what do i put for him to eat in the tank...right now the set up doesnt lend to just grabbing him out of there...do i need to move him to a different set up...most importantly and what matters to this sub forum...what do i give him to eat????...i dont want him to starve to death.....
Thanks for all the help.
By the way we were told these are grass frogs.
Thanks again!!
