My pacman is a little over two years old now. How frequently should he be eating? Lately he's been only eating if I dig him out of his hole. And even then, he'll only eat one earthworm or 3-4 crickets. He has been averaging maybe a worm a week/every other week for the past month.
Is this normal? Or is there another factor at play. Lately it has been really hot and the cage has been getting to 84F during the day. However the soil temperature is staying around 80F. Additionally, there has been a prolonged high pressure system over Austin for the past 2 weeks. Do they become less active from very high atmospheric pressure?
Humidity is variant between 70-90% depending on the temperature of the room. 10g tank, eco earth, hygrotherm controlled temps and humidity.
Pacman frogs are opportunistic eaters and the older they become, the less they eat.
An adult pacman frog should be fed 3 or 4 times per month, this is sufficient.
I know an herpetolog who is responsible of Reptiles and amphibians in a famous zoo in France. He feeds his adult pacman frogs every 10 days and they are perfectly healthy.
