Hi,
I have three tree frogs; one RETF and two American Green Tree Frogs. They've been together for over two years and have excellent temperament. I am leaving for college and I am transporting them to their new home. (My cousin will be taking care of them.) The drive is almost nine hours. What would you suggest being the easiest way and most stress free way to transport them? I also have to take their terrarium with me. Would it make sense to set up the terrarium and transport them in that, or make more sense to transport them individually in cups with moss? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you! Cheers.
First, I'd figure out how to maintain the temperature in the car if there was an emergency.
Second, I wouldn't carry them in anything with loose parts that could slide around. I wouldn't put them in anything made of glass in case of emergencies.
Personally, I'd use something a bit larger than a cup so they could move around a little. Maybe something on the larger side that could still fit inside a cooler.
Hold on, you said the RETF and the AGTF are/were in the same enclosure? I would tell your cousin to make sure that they are in separate cages so they don't harm eachother. People always say "They lived together fine, until one day..." so I would personally tell him to make two separate enclosures, or just divide it
I didn't notice that part- I'd think about separating them.
