How did you do the faux rock background on this one?

It's a jungle right now. I will try to get some pics of it tonight.

Digg, the background was made by pouring a lot of sand on expanding foam immediately after it was sprayed. It's a trick the reefers use to create artificial reefs.

It's looking great Bill! It's a veritable jungle in there. I saw someone on Dendroboard try out the sand trick a while ago, but they screwed it up. You on the other hand, have got it down. Also, the Leucs are looking great . I like the terrarium portion of it, I might try that sometime in the future, maybe even incorporate it into other animal enclosures, like my hermit crab tank. I just finished my first dart viv for a pair of D. auratus 'el cope' so I still have some waiting to do for the plants to fill in. Damn good job man

Thank you I let the terrarium portion go a bit. I put those plants in as a proof of concept. One if these days, I'll replace them with more exotic plants.

The sand trick is cool. It does take a few tries to get right. The found the amount of sand you pour on to be critical. Most people use too little and it ends up looking horrendous. I used a ton of sand to get the look I got. The unused sand wasn't wasted either, it's now the substrate for my indoor pond.
