Default Brown Green Frog? Southern chorus frog without markings?

I just found the first true frog I've ever found on my property. Unfortunately I found it when my cat dragged it up, dead.
I know it's hard to id a frog by only a description, but if anyone wants to try I'd appreciate it.

It was 1 1/2'', solid brown, no spots or markings at all, except some faint stripes on the legs. The snout was pointy. There were small raised spots on the back, as well as two ridges. It was definitely a true frog, not a tree frog.

I'd found a single frog egg in my dog's bowl earlier, but I have no idea if that's related.

I didn't see this earlier, but another has turned up. It was found in Mississippi.

Do you have any photos this time? Here's what Bronze frogs look like: http://srelherp.uga.edu/anurans/rancla.htm and the various species of Chorus frogs: http://srelherp.uga.edu/anurans/psefer.htm http://srelherp.uga.edu/anurans/psenig.htm Also on an unrelated note, I used to own an Upland chorus frog, she was a great captive, I still miss her

Huh, I think it may be a small Bronze frog. The picture with the caption "Bronze Frog" on your link actually looks 100% like it. I intend to take pictures as soon as I can since I'm keeping it overnight for observation. (It looks a little stunned or something. I took it away from a cat.) I won't be able to upload til Mon or Tues though.

There's a pond down the hill from my house, I believe they're coming from there- and I hope the frog population will be okay.

Thank you for your help, that was pretty quick.

If it had dorsal lateral ridges that stopped halfway, it was a Green/Bronze frog, if not, chorus frog. Also on an unrelated note, that was the first green rep I received, thank you
