Potential paralysis in Asian painted frog hind legs

Worried about Bean (my asian painted frog). When I uncovered him today his front legs were shaking kind of spastically and his hind legs don't seem to be able to move. I fed him on Tuesday and he ate readily and scooted under the substrate like normal. Any idea what the cause could be?
Additional info

• He lives in a terrarium with 2 whites tree frogs.
• The terrarium has several plants and the substrate is potting soil.
• I do dechlorinate my water with zoo med reptisafe

Hello Brynat and welcome to Frog Forum! First off, different species of frogs should not be housed together for many reasons. I would separate them immediately. Will you please copy and answer these questions:

1. Size of enclosure
2. # of inhabitants - specifically other frogs and size differences
3. Humidity
4. Temperature
5. Water - type - for both misting and soaking dish
6. Materials used for substrate
7. Enclosure set up i.e. plants (live or artificial), wood, bark and other materials.
- How were things prepared prior to being put into the viv.
8. Main food source
9. Vitamins and calcium? (how often)
10. Lighting
11. What is being used to maintain the temperature of the enclosure
12. When is the last time he/she ate
13. Have you found poop lately
14. A pic would be helpful including frog and enclosure (any including cell phone pic is fine)
15. Describe frog's symptoms and/or recent physical changes; to include it's ventral/belly area.
16. How old is the frog
17. How long have you owned him/her
18. Is the frog wild caught or captive bred
19. Frog food- how often and if it is diverse, what other feeders are used as treats
20. How often the frog is handled
21. Is the enclosure kept in a high or low traffic area
22. Describe enclosure maintenance (water changes, cleaning, etc)

It is not paralysis, it is MBD, how often do you dust their food? Also, those two species should not be in the same enclosure BTW

Thanks for all the help guys he is doing much better now. I ended up separating them out. I don't believe the previous owner had been supplementing calcium but I have been doing so once a week since I adopted him.

Be sure your calcium supplement has vitamin D3 .

Schedule for dusting:

Calcium with vita D3 every other feeding and multivitamin one day a week on different day than calcium .

Remove the potting soil and change it to coconut fiber (not husk/chunks) or ABG mix. Most tree frogs will appreciate a large type of safe, properly-prepared leaf litter over the substrate. They like their sticky feet clean .

If using ABG without leaf litter it is safest to "bowl feed".
