    Some have darker spots than others - just age?

    I live in Nebraska where there are plenty of young northern leopard frogs roaming about right now. I undersand that the color intensity of spots could be based on which region the frogs come from. Frogs living in the northern parts of their range may have lighter spots or no spots at all. Very rarely do you see the "no-spot" varient around here.
