Hi there.Glad you found us. It sounds like you have a pretty sharp six-year old.
I hope your frogs continue well, and I hope we'll see pictures soon.

Hi all. Glad I came across your website. My six year old and I started with two tadpoles- pacific treefrogs (for lack of more knowledge, I think that they might be pacific chorus frogs after reading some info on this Frog Forum!). One turned earlier than the other and we moved him(?) to a new habitat as well as changed his name (formally Poseidon, the god of the sea to Pan, the god of nature because he is no longer aquatic, according to the six year old;-)) The other littler one , Percy (the kid is really into the Percy Jackson series which is loosely based on Greek Mythology) just got his back legs and is a happy little tadpole. Pan seems to be eluding us. We are not sure if he has escaped, but that would mean that the crickets we put in the cage for him last night also escaped. After reading posts on Frog Forum, I think I believe my hubby that has told me to relax because he is probably burrowing in the coconut stuff at the bottom of the habitat.

Welcome to the Forum. If you posted some pics of Pan and Percy, we could help you sex them and confirm they are Pacific Chorus frogs. As well, these frogs like to be up high-they seldom will borrow into the substrate unless they do not have branches to climb. If you do have at least one boy frog, he will sing to you and the sound is absolutely amazing!!![]()
I am worried that Pan may be living large in the house- at least he will have plenty of bugs to eat! I keep checking the dog's water dish to make sure the little frog isn't looking for a drink. We have all been walking around looking up constantly. I might add a finer mesh over the top of the habitat before Percy moves in. I'll see if I have any photos clear enough to post. Thanks for the warm welcome![]()
Welcome aboard. Could you please post your location and country in your profile? It helps us to help you better.
thanks for the heads up about adding our info to the profile. I will do that now- we are in Milwaukie, Oregon, which is just south of Portland, along the Willamette River. (Pacific Northwest of the U.S.)
