Default Gulf Coast Toad Not Eating.

My male gulf coast toad is refusing to eat and I've had him about two weeks. He looks at the food and then hops away. My females on the other hand love feeding time and snatch the insects and worms right out of my hand before I have a chance to put it down! But I did catch him trying to mate my smaller girl.

I've been feeding them insects my bearded dragon always has in supply. Crickets and super worms dipped in calcium. My male won't even touch the non calcium food.

Any suggestions of other insects to try or how to get him to want to eat?

Is he wild caught? How big is he? Nightcrawlers are a good staple food.

To entice the toads, try wax-worms. It is the equivalent to Godiva chocolate to frogs and toads

Yes, he is wild caught. My nephews brought him over. I'll try the night crawlers and wax worms. I used to feed wax worms as axolotl treats and I agree those are like potato chips to any pet!

He is about 3 inches long. My biggest female is around 5 inches.
