This guy is just hanging out on my back door. I have no intentions to catch it or mess with it in any way. Just curious what kind it is. I am guessing Copes but not really sure.
Its about 2 inches so I think thats full grown if it is copes right? we usually only see the babies around here.

It's a gorgeous Gray but couldn't tell you which sub-specie, they're very difficult to tell apart.

It is a lovely gray.
If you are in the south, it is a Cope's Gray. If you are up north, I believe that it has a higher chance of being a Common Gray
Location info may help ID.
You can also go out at night and listen for calls to see what you have in your area (if they're still calling this time of year where you are, they are still going sporadically in Ontario). This page http://www.in.gov/dnr/fishwild/3341.htm has the calls of both species you can listen too.
