Used substrate question.

I've been trying to answer this question on my own and haven't found it. It seems thatAfter removing old/used substrate from tank I could mix it with potting soil for house plants? Or can I let it dry out and then mix with potting soil? Or put it in composte pile I hate to just throw it in the garbage if I could use it somewhere else.

Ive heard of people using it as compost and garden soil afterwards, i don't see why not.

If your frogs have been tested negative for chytrid and rana, then you can use it for something else outside, but if you haven't tested and are not sure they are carriers or not, you need to bleach it out before disposing.

iv mixed it with other things and used it indoors. i wouldnt do that without boiling and freezing then boiling it again. it molded when i didnt.
