Trying to start my roach colony. If anyone has some that they are looking to get rid of for a good price, then I'd appreciate it. I am looking for adults and looking for a couple hundred. Please PM me if you have any to sell. Thanks!
Where are you located? I want to sell my dubia colony but I'd rather not try to ship them.

Whats the reason for selling John? if you don't mind me asking.
I recently sold mine as well. I was very allergic to them.
Kevin, allergic like sneezing? Just being in the environment or handling them?
I just don't like culturing roaches - have too much to do as it is. I'm not allergic to them. I've never heard of that before but I suppose it's possible.

Sneezing, itchyness, runny nose, and eyes even breathing difficulty. I've read that some people get slightly allergic to them. I guess mine was worse than most. Mostly when I handled them.
Actually quite common if you handle without tweezers or gloves, the usual is that your skin begins to itch and becomes irritated. I heard about this before getting my first colony of Dubias, but I really wouldn't want to touch them without gloves anyway, most because I have a habit of being sucked at and bitten by all natures insects when pointing my nose as far as outside my bedroom window.![]()
It's so weird how a little layer of latex gives me so much comfort. I don't mind handling them at all with gloves on but without? NO WAY!!! I think it's just that from an early age, we are taught that roaches are dirty and that we shouldn't touch them or even be in the same vicinity of them. Oh, by the way. Still looking for some. Please PM me if anybody wants to part with any. Over the next few years I am going to be embarking on a project that is going to require that I have an endless supply of food at all times.
I don't mind handling them. I hate cleaning them though and having to sift the frass for young nymphs, and if you don't keep up with it they attract fruit flies and nastier flies.

Yeah, mine are in the garage right now because it is hot and steamy through the summer months but I will be forced to bring them inside this winter. Right now I have been exercising a once a month empty and clean of the tubs. This has worked out pretty well for me because there is no smell and waste is a minimum. Haven't noticed any flies swarming the bins in the garage using this method.
Lucky you I have mine inside and I live in one room -__-' There are some websites if you google "Blaptica Dubia order" they ship to US but I'm not sure of how cheap it is... You could try advertising that you want to buy Dubias on an insect site, like this one but people adore insect instead of frogs! (how odd isn't that?)I won't link cause I'm not sure if that's allowed... Good luck!
It's allowed.
Yeah I know that there are some site's where you can buy them online. I am in drastic need of many, many, many so I am trying to save money where I can. I know that alot of people have bout Dubia's and within a couple of months, they are overran with them as they breed quicker then the animals can eat them. I just had some hopes of buying from these people. They make some extra cash and I save a little and in the end we are all happy![]()
