Both of those frogs would do better with a live planted set up. I would use ABG mix, it can be ordered online at places like josh's frogs, NEHerp, Black Jungle, etc. Otherwise you can find a recipe to mix your own. I cover my substrate with leaf litter and live sheet moss to prevent any accidental ingestion. Have you considered converting the 29g to a vertical tank? You lose a lot of height doing a drainage layer and soil, and considering they're tree frogs, they like height! I had my 2 red eyes in a 20g high at first, it was not enough space/height for them to move about comfortably. They are now in a 24" tall tank and are thriving. Also, make sure to quarantine any new frogs you get.
