    Default My new Gray Treefroglets

I know everyone here will get this I JUST LOVE THESE LITTLE GUYS! I am so geeked as my son would (did) say about these little frogs. I can't stop looking at them. My husband just doesn't get it and keeps saying stuff like " I thought the plan was to watch them change and then release them into the wild ". As if I could just let my babies go out into the cruel world! The poor man also lives under the silly impression that one day I will let our sons move out of our house. I am keeping the 2 new froglets in a square 4 liter disposable food storage container that is approx. 6.5" tall. I took cuttings from a forsythia bush and am using those for perches and cover. I purchased flightless fruit flies and have put some in with the frogs but they seem almost too big for them to eat. I intend to set up a proper home for them once the other 4 tadpoles morph. Does this sound ok, any advice is welcome.

It sounds good. They should be able to eat flightless Drosophila melanogaster because I've used those to raise them in the past. I doubt they could tackle the larger Drosophila hydei though.

We had a silly high ( for an uneducated lout such as myself ) survivor rate and currently have 19 of the little guys bouncing around in a 29 and still tadpoles to go. Have to figure out how to transfer them to the other 29 that's set up to be a better hab. Slippery little debbils.
